Job brief

We are seeking an experienced US Senior Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take full ownership of warehouse and logistics operations across three facilities: New York, New Jersey, and Carson, California. This role is based in New York and requires regular travel between the New York and Newark facilities, with occasional travel to the California site. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who can drive consistency, efficiency, and accountability across multiple sites including facilities with ocean/air/land freight and import/export exposure.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on running tight, well-organized operations and can be trusted to effectively manage and coordinate operations across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations across the New York, New Jersey (Newark), and Carson, CA facilities.
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping across all three locations.
• Manage and coordinate ocean freight/container operations, including customs clearance, drayage, and port-to-warehouse logistics.
• Standardized processes, safety protocols, and performance metrics across all three warehouses to ensure consistency.
• Travel regularly between the New York and Newark facilities to provide on-site leadership and oversight.
• Travel periodically to the Carson, CA facility to audit operations, support the local team there, and ensure alignment with company standards.
• Train and manage warehouse supervisors and staff at each location (directly or through site leads).
• Monitor and report on KPIs: order accuracy, on-time shipping, inventory shrinkage, labor productivity, and safety incidents.
• Monitor customer service levels and delivery reliability, identifying and addressing issues that may affect timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
• Partner with sales, procurement/supply chain, and Quality teams to align warehouse capacity with business needs.
• Work closely with Quality to ensure proper process flows and the prompt identification, segregation and management of non-conforming products and any non-conformities related to warehouse and logistics operations.
• Evaluate and manage third-party warehouse and logistics providers, when applicable, ensuring appropriate service levels, operational reliability, cost efficiency and compliance with company standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, improve service levels and reduce costs.

Requirements and skills

• 7+ years of progressive experience in warehouse and logistics management, including multi-site oversight.
• Direct experience with ocean freight / import-export logistics (container shipments, customs, port operations) is required.
• Proven track record taking full ownership of operations with minimal supervision.
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of WMS platforms, inventory management systems, and logistics/TMS software in order to support the implementation, evolution and continuous improvement of the WMS, ensuring its effective use across all warehouse locations
• Highly appreciated experience working with third-party logistics providers, including the ability to evaluate, select, manage and monitor outsourced warehouse and logistics operations.
• Demonstrated ability to travel regularly (weekly/bi-weekly to NJ; periodic multi-day trips to CA).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
